It has been raining cats and dogs for two days and June is like autumn at present.

In the store cupboard we had some pre-cooked chestnuts and, using an overnight levain, this mildy nutty sourdough came about.

    1. Started as an experiment, pouring with rain, dismal days for June! Found a bag of cooked / peeled chestnuts in cupboard and hey presto. Overnight levain which didn’t look too inspiring at first and the dough was difficult once the chestnuts were folded. But after baking and sampling it, wow! I’ll work on it and hopefully improve on a very tasty bread. Thanks for all the likes and comment.
